Who Are We?

Meet Eric & Christie

We’ve been married for over 27 years and enjoy adventure, travel, board games, family, friends, and meeting new people. Connect with us, join us on our adventures traveling the USA in our fifth wheel, and watch our YouTube channel for more about what we’re up to.

Meet Cooper, our Italian Greyhound and Lilly or Corgi

Cooper has been with the family for almost 13 years but we got him when he was nearly a year old. He came from a breeder in Portland, OR who exclusively breeds Italian Greyhounds. The dogs are sensitive, quiet overall and very sweet. His favorite person is Christie for sure. He’s her baby.

Lilly is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and she’s nearly 8. We got her at a breeder in Hermiston Oregon and her initial purpose was to be a trained comfort dog for our son Cameron who has Autism, but we abandoned the training early on and she became a family pet. She’s playful, enjoys belly rubs, and long walks. Eric is her favorite person. We call her “little bean”.

Why is your rig so big?

Eric always says that when he does something, he does it right. Well, we started out with a beautiful Tiffin Wayfarer 25RW Mercedes Sprinter motorhome, but that was WAY too small to live in. Now we’re going over the top with a 63′ long beast!

Introducing Fish Tales' International 4700 Medium Duty Truck

With a trailer that weighs in at a GVWR of 24,000 it didn’t make a lot of sense to haul that monstrosity with a standard truck. The price of a standard Ford F-350 or F-450 dually was also prohibitive, so Eric started looking for a heavy duty truck. Ideally, he was looking for a Class 8 Semi truck, but settled on this Class 6 Medium Duty Hauler. The truck is a 1997 International Hauler with a DT466 engine. The duty cycle on the engine is 550,000 and this truck has only 146,000 at the moment. It’s an oldie but a goodie and has many upgrades.

DRV Full House MX-450

Following in the footsteps of other youtubers like Suite Travels, Eric & Christie made the decision after looking at hundreds of floorplans that the best solution to their problem was a toy hauler. This specific brand makes one of the best quality trailers in the business. It includes such niceties as 3″ walls for better insulation, a more robust frame, triple 8,000 lb. axles, and quality cabinets throughout for full-time living. That makes perfect sense to us!

The 2021 DRV Full House MX-450 we bought was delivered to a dealer in Helper Utah, then picked up by Eric and his dad in April of 2021.
